My Story

I grew up in a rural Indiana farm town where everyone knew me—and how hard I worked at chasing my dreams. I was at the top of my high school class and highly involved in my community, which led me to winning a full-ride scholarship to Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business. But when I arrived on campus, it felt like I was starting from scratch. I didn’t know anyone, and even more unsettling at the time… no one knew me. Also, neither of my parents were businesspeople, so I didn’t have any real understanding of how to “do” college strategically to land my dream business career. I figured things out over time—ultimately graduating number 1 in my class of ~1,600 Kelley students—but I also stumbled, wasted energy worrying about the wrong things, and put unnecessary pressure on myself.

After graduating, I joined McKinsey & Company, a prestigious consultancy, in the Chicago office. I was proud to be there—and also overwhelmed. I carried a constant, quiet fear that I was one step away from being found out. Despite strong performance, I spent most of the first year battling imposter syndrome while trying to prove to myself I belonged. Eventually, I found my footing, earned top reviews, and was selected to serve as Deputy Chief of Staff to the firm’s Global Managing Partner (CEO) for a year—a transformational career move that cemented my self-confidence.

Since then, I’ve taken on Chief of Staff roles at two early-stage companies and now serve as Vice President of Investment Strategy at an independent sponsor investment fund. Each chapter has pushed me further and taught me that talent alone isn’t enough—what accelerates growth is having people who believe in you, challenge you, and help you get out of your own way when self doubt and negative mindsets kick in.

That’s why I coach. I work exclusively with ambitious college students and early-career professionals who have the talent to succeed but value someone in their corner to push them further and faster. I’ve walked the path, I’ve learned what’s important to get right to reach your goals, and I’m here to help you navigate these challenging decisions and transitions with clarity and confidence.
